Ferries depart from the Riga Passenger Terminal at 3a Eksporta Str., Riga, LV-1010, reachable from the city centre by tram lines 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11. Before departure, Riga's UNESCO-listed Old Town and its famous Art Nouveau district — one of the largest collections of this architectural style in Europe — are both within easy reach of the port, making it worth arriving with some extra time to explore the city first.

On arrival, the ferry docks at a Tallink Silja terminal in Helsinki. From there, Helsinki's city centre is easily reachable by public transport or taxi, giving quick access to sights such as the Design District, the Market Square (Kauppatori) by the harbour, and the Suomenlinna sea fortress, a short ferry ride from the centre.
