Rødby Ferry Port | Routes & Destinations 2026

About

Rødby is a small town on the island of Lolland in southern Denmark, primarily known as the Danish terminal for the Puttgarden–Rødby ferry crossing to Germany. Scandlines operates this short crossing, one of the most frequently used ferry routes in the Baltic, with sailings running around the clock. Lolland is a flat, agricultural island connected by bridge to Falster and the Danish mainland. Rødby itself is a quiet town with limited tourist appeal, though the surrounding landscape has a gentle, open character that some travellers find appealing. The ferry terminal is efficient and transit-focused. Plans for a fixed link tunnel under the Fehmarn Belt — connecting Lolland directly to the German island of Fehmarn — are in an advanced stage of construction and will eventually replace the ferry service.
