Flåm Ferry Port | Routes & Destinations 2026

About

Flåm is a small village in Aurland municipality, Vestland county, at the inner end of the Aurlandsfjord — a branch of the Sognefjord in western Norway. It is one of Norway's most visited places despite its size, largely because it serves as both a terminus for the Flåm Railway and a hub for fjord cruises on the Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ferry pier at Flåm is busy in summer with passenger ferries and cruise vessels, connecting the village with Gudvangen, Aurland and Bergen. The combination of the railway, the fjord scenery and the scale of the surrounding mountains makes Flåm a memorable stop on any Norwegian itinerary. Accommodation and services are good for a village of its size, though it fills up quickly in peak season and advance booking is advisable.
